Filming for the hotly anticipated Deadpool 2 has recently finished, and whilst this will be the first movie to feature Josh Brolin’s Cable, it apparently won’t be the last.

During an interview with ColliderBrolin stated how;

“I’m not going to tell you how much I’m in the film, but it’s his introduction, and I think…even in the small promos and teasers that David [Leitch, director] has shown me, I think it’s a proper reveal.

I think we’re not trying to hide the fact that this is the beginning of Cable and absolutely not the end.

I think when you’re sensitive about how you reveal this character there’s a sense of mystery in it, so then when we finally get into X-Force, you’re going to be with this guy full blown all the time.

There’s a lot to be revealed, but there’s three more movies to reveal more.”

At least three more movies to reveal more about Cable? Seems like Fox has managed to bag Brolin for the long-haul, which is the first anyone’s heard about this, we think.

So, besides Deadpool 2 and X-Force, we can expect to see the time-travelling mutant at least twice more.

Brolin will, of course, be pulling double duties for a number of years with this news, as he’s also set to appear as Thanos in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War and will possibly appear in the sequel. If he wasn’t known to audiences before 2018, we’ll well and truly become a household name after it.

Deadpool 2 sees the return of Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson/Deadpool, TJ Miller as Weasel, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Stefan Kapičić as the voice of Colossus, Karen Soni as Donpinder and featuring series newcomers Zazie Beetz as Domino, Jack Kesy presumable as Black Tom Cassidy, and Eddie Marson, Julian Dennison, and Hayley Sales in unannounced roles, with David Leitch as director, and will premiere 1st June 2018 in the UK.
