On Sunday 4th February, the world (or at the very least, America) watched as the NFL hosted the Super Bowl, the 52nd in the sport’s illustrious history.
Many litres of beer were consumed as the New England Patriots faced off against the Philadelphia Eagles, with the Eagles coming out on top with a final score of 41 – 33.
Whilst many fans of the sport enjoyed the game, there was something else on offer for those of us not that interested in (America) Football; namely the half-time show and, more importantly, the advertisements which, this year, featured several teaser trailers for some of this year’s most-anticipated movies. And here’s the third and final (the first two being Solo: A Star Wars Movie and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom respectively); Avengers: Infinity War.
The long-awaited conclusion to Marvel Studio‘s decade-long build-up, Infinity War brings the cast of the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Ant-Man, Black Panther, and more as the threat of Thanos finally emerges. Will the combined forces of the MCU be able to hold off the Mad Titan?
The film’s synopsis reads as follows;
Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and the rest of the Avengers unite to battle their most powerful enemy yet — the evil Thanos. On a mission to collect all six Infinity Stones, Thanos plans to use the artifacts to inflict his twisted will on reality. The fate of the planet and existence itself has never been more uncertain as everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment.
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron-Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Incredible Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye/Clint Barton, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie as Falcon/Sam Wilson, Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill, Don Cheadle as War-Machine/James Rhodes, Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch/Wanda Maximoff, Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, Benedict Wong as Wong, Chris Pratt as Star-Lord/Peter Quill, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Josh Brolin as Thanos, Benicio Del Toro as The Collector, Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, and with the voices of Vin Diesel as Groot, and Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon. The movie will be out in cinemas everywhere in the UK from 27th April.
