Are You Ready Player One? The 2nd Trailer Drops, With Added Imagination

One of the most visually break-taking and impressive sci-fi movies has just had its second trailer drop.

Warner Bros. adaptation of Ready Player One brings all of the CGI-magic present in the first trailer and adds elements of the movie’s narrative throughout.

Our hero, Wade Watts (played by Tye Sheridan) joins a resistance movement to try and save the OASIS – a Virtual Reality world where a player’s enjoyment is limited by their own imagination.

With characters from Halo, Overwatch, The Iron-Giant, and even the DeLorean sports car, the resistance movement has a well-stocked and varied army. But then again, they’re going to need all the help they can get as the villainous Innovative Online Industries (the IOI) are hell-bent on taking control of the virtual realm and monetising it, and if they need to kill a few players or blow up their homes, then so be it.

With Steven Spielberg onboard as director, Ready Player One has all of the promise to be one of the best movies of the year, if not the best looking.

Directed by Spielberg, Ready Player One is based off of a script by Zak Penn and Ernest Cline and stars Tye Sheridan as Wade Watts, Olivia Cooke as Samantha Cook/Art3mis, Ben Mendelsohn as Nolan Sorrento, Letitia Wright as Reb, Hannah John-Kamen as F’Nale Zandor, Simon Pegg as Ogden Morror, TJ Miller as iR0k, and Mark Rylance as James Halliday. Ready Player One is scheduled for a release 29th March in the UK.
