The Incredibles 2 Deal With a New Threat in 1st Teaser Trailer

14 years.

That’s how long it’s been since The Incredibles was released. Since 2004, we’ve had three Cars movies, two Planes movies, and countless other, great Pixar movies. But, in my humble opinion, the best Pixar movie has been left to collect dust.

Well, 2018 will change that!

The first teaser trailer for The Incredibles 2 features the Parr family – Bob, Helen, ‘Dash’, Violet, and Jack-Jack – who reunite following the events of the first movie.

The Underminer is present, suggesting the sequel continues immediately after the first movie, and from there Helen Parr aka Elastigirl joins an organisation that provides her with superhero work.

Mr Incredible, on the other hand, is left to deal with the kids, baby Jack-Jack in particular. Meeting up with family friend and costumer Edna Mode, Bob gains advice on how to be a “heroic” parent…and presumably walks out with a new set of costumes.

The movie’s synopsis reads as follows;

It’s a tough transition for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone must find a way to work together again — which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible.

Written and directed by Brad Birch, and with the vocal talents of Craig T Nelson as Mr Incredible, Holly Hunter as Elastigirl, Sarah Vowell as Violet Parr, Huck Milner as Dashiell “Dash” Robert Parr, Samuel L Jackson as Frozone, Brad Bird as Edna Mode, and John Ratzenberger as The Underminer, The Incredibles 2 is set for a release 13th July in the UK.
