With a recent Easter Egg hidden inside Avengers: Infinity War, it seems as good a time as any to confirm the newest season of cult-TV show, Arrested Development is nearly upon us.

Thanks to an interview with Decider, none other than Henry Winkler himself – who plays Barry Zuckercorn in the series – has confirmed that Arrested Development: Season 5 will likely be available on Netflix by the summer.

“[Season 5] will be on midsummer,” Winkler reveals. “We just shot it before Christmas.”

This matches up with a lot of production rumours and information that have been circling the internet in recent months, as it had previously been thought that production had already wrapped up some months ago (nothing was ever really confirmed, however), and Ron Howard, who narrates the series, was said to have recorded his lines back in March.

The upcoming fifth season is said to centre around a murder mystery following the cliffhanger ending of Season 4 wherein Lucille Austero (played by Liza Minnelli) – SPOILER ALERT – disappears, and the remaining Bluth family look to figure out who the culprit was.

Starring Jason Bateman as Michael Bluth, Will Arnett as Gob Bluth, Portia de Rossi as Lindsay Bluth, Michael Cera as George Michael Bluth, Tony Hale as Byron “Buster” Bluth, David Cross as Tobias Fünke, Jeffrey Tambor as Oscar Bluth/George Bluth Sr, Jessica Walter as Lucille Bluth, and the aforementioned Ron Howard as the Narrator, Arrested Development is currently available to stream on Netflix.
