Thanos’s finger snap has had a wide-spread reach within the real world.

Aside from upsetting the balance of the MCU as fans know it, the Mad Titan’s has had innumerable complications and reactions following the events of Infinity War.

And, a recent Reddit thread is the latest to feel the wrath of Thanos.

The r/ThanosDidNothingWrong subreddit, which, as you can imagine, features users who firmly believe that Thanos didn’t do anything wrong when enacting his master plan. The subreddit now has plans to ban half of its members in an attempt to achieve perfect balance. The thread is currently sitting at around 613k subscribers, a number which has escalated over the course of a few days.

And the “snap” will occur later today, reportedly.

Normally, such a thing will not really garner much mainstream media attention. However, Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo have taken notice of the upcoming event and got involved, with none other than Thanos himself speaking to the redditors.

Taking to Instagram, Joe Russo posted a video ahead of the snap, which recreates Thanos’ iconic movie gesture.

Of the 613k+ members on the subreddit, exactly half of those will be banned from the subreddit as soon as the snap takes place. And, whilst normally, this sort of thing would be met with annoyance, aggravation, and sadness, the whole community seems to be embracing and willing to let it happen.

Sometimes, the internet is a strange place.

If, on the off chance, one of the r/ThanosDidNothingWrong redditors who gets banned happens to visit our fair site (hello, by the way), fear not, as you’ll be able to form as wide a community in the r/inthesoulstone subreddit.
