A small development on the Disney/Fox acquisition. With any luck, this will be the lats we hear about things before a final word is given.
As if Venom and Silver & Black weren't enough for Sony Picture's Spider-Man inspired "Spider-Verse", they've only announced a new entry into their shared cinematic outing. And this one has a certain sense of the vampiric about it.
Whilst Disney hits $5 billion at the domestic box-office, talks between them and 20th Century Fox might have opened up the floodgates to even more gain for Marvel Studios. The opportunity to finally see the Fantastic Four or the X-Men alongside the Avengers or the Guardians of the Galaxy would be huge. Hopefully, there's good news on the horizon, though.
The Venom solo movie has been a long time coming already, but things are coming along nicely already. A mere few weeks into filming, things seem to be on track for the first of Sony's Spider-Man spin-off movies. Of course, when you think about Venom, you know that his physiology isn't exactly solid. So, how do get that right on the big screen? Andy Serkis seems to know.
Sonic the Hedgehog is coming to the big screen, tentatively penned for either 2018, or 2019, or maybe even 2020. It's got Deadpool's Tim Miller on board and will mark the directorial debut of Jeff Fowler, a filmmaker and visual effects artist. So, there's going to be some impressive visuals and a hugely successful and well-produced movie. This is everything I could ever have wanted for Sonic. Well, that and a great 3D game post-Sonic Adventure 2 that is.
