The Super Mario movie is officially on! Nintendo themselves confirmed the partnership on Twitter. This, plus the Sonic the Hedgehog movie will mean that two of gaming's biggest icons will head to the big screen soon enough.

Universal Studios' Dark Universe franchise is, for the most part, dead in the water right now. But things weren't always so bleak. In fact, the franchise nearly had Guillermo del Toro onboard to direct. Obviously, the movies would be a whole lot different to what we've actually got. Who knows, the Mummy might have actually been good!
Detective Pikachu inches closer and closer to filming, and there's still very little in terms of whose involved in the movie. So, I, unfortunately, cannot confirm that Danny DeVito will be lending his dulcet tones to the world's most famous yellow mouse. The studio's aren't half keeping this one shtum.
